Simple Zipper Bag

Have you seen all of the cute "Simple Zipper Bags" - #simplezipperbag -popping up on Instagram? This bag is a free tutorial on YouTube by Fat Quarter Shop and it's excellent. Easy to follow and fun to create.

This is my stitched version of the bag

I stitched this panel during the summer while at my sons baseball games. I had no idea what I'd use it for and embroidered it, purely for enjoyment. When I saw the simple zipper bags on social media, I found the perfect way to incorporate my stitched panel.

The fabric range is from a couple of years ago, called Milk, Sugar & Flower, designed by Elea Lutz for Pennyrose Fabrics. It's a sweet collection and I'd been hoarding some 2.5" strips in my stash.

Have you made a Simple Zipper Bag yet? I already have my next little squares cut to make another bag... and possibly another.
