Zombie Love meets a Monkey Pillow {Tutorial}

Vampires are out. Zombies are in!

I’ve had the opportunity to play with this very cute new fabric range called Zombie Love which was created by Emily Taylor for Riley Blake Fabrics.

The range includes the quirky main zombie print which comes in 3 colour-ways along with coordinating floral and skeletal heart (bone) prints. It’s such a fun line and I created this pillow with my daughter in mind.

If you have an 18” pillow insert (I bought a 2 pack from Spotlight last week for only $9.99) and you’d like to create your own Zombie Love meets a Monkey Pillow, here’s what you need:

Zombie Love meets a Monkey Pillow

(1) 18" pillow form
(4) 5" square focal print (centre squares) - A Fabric
(4) 5" x WOF coordinating prints - B Fabric
(1) 5" x WOF white solid - C Fabric
(1) 5" x WOF light grey solid - D Fabric
(1) 1/2 yard print (backing fabric)
(1) 20" square batting
Sewing Machine, rotary cutter, ruler, mat, scissors and general sewing supplies
Basting spray (optional)
** I have included generous fabric amounts in this pattern **

Obviously, you can use this pattern with any fabrics you like, but I created it with Zombie Love in mind.

If you like this fabric range, it is distributed in Australia by Millhouse Collections – and if you’re not here in OzLand, please visit the Riley Blake Fabrics website for your local distributor.
