Letter to Santa

In Partnership with Mattel

Tomorrow is the first day of November - and if you're like me, it's the official time to start getting into the swing of Christmas.

No, the Christmas tree won't come out just yet, but it's the time to start thinking about what I need to buy, what I need to make, where we need to be and what needs to happen. It's a time for lists. Lot's and lot's of lists.

One thing which has already been ticked off my list is presents for my children. Last week, we sat down, wrote a letter to Santa and created a wish-list... all from the comfort of my home computer. You can read more about our Letter to Santa experience here.

  1. We wrote two letters and my girls went crazy picking all the Octonauts toys, especially the Octopod Playset. They love all their shows, although my 3 year old gets the theme song a bit mixed up. Instead of "Explore! Rescue! Protect!" she screams out, "Restore! Rescue! Retract!" Perhaps she's getting mixed up with that show American Restoration :)

  2. We wrote four letters and these toys were favourites - Scrabble, Disney Frozen Sparkle Princess Elsa, Thomas & Friends TrackMaster Water Tower Starter Set and a BoomCo Twisted Spinner Blaster.

  3. My 7 year old chose the Hot Wheels Super Loop Chase Race - he'd seen it advertised on Disney Jnr and really, really wants it.

  4. Three letters to write here, so Hot wheels super loop, thomas and friends Trackmaster and Disney Elsa.
That was a lot of fun, thanks for sharing

  5. Disney Frozen Sparkle Princess Elsa & Lightning McQueen topped our two lists.

  6. My 3 year old granddaughter loves the Barbie princesses! Her favorite toy is the Camper!! Thanks for sharing this fun link!! Never too soon to start thinking about Christmas!! :-)

  7. The Disney Frozen Musical Giftset
Is what tops the Christmas wishlist, you bet!
With their glittery dresses, It's Elsa and Anna we adore
It was chosen by my youngest daughter, aged 4.
Miss Seven chose the Barbie Sisters Getaway
With that, she'd play for many hours a day!
And my 10-yr-old said she wanted to claim
    The ever-popular Scrabble board game!

  8. We love the Octonauts playset and the Frozen dolls. This was lots of fun and I think it has helped me to work out what they want too.
Lots of help for Santa too!!!
Great idea, thanks for the heads up and for running this Mattel!

  9. My just turned 5 year old daughter told me what to write and I was a little bit shocked at how she worded her letter. So I copied the letter to share...

    Dear Santa,
can I please have an Elsa doll for Christmas? I also like jewelry. And I love you forever and you are my bestest friend. I have been good, I really have been. I also like your elves, so what can you do for me? Can I also have a toy butterfly for ever and ever, it cant even break.
    From Paige.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

  10. We wrote 2 Santa letters, one for each of my girls. My youngest picked the Skating Elsa Doll as her favourite toy and my eldest picked the Jack and the Neverland Pirates Buckey Ship as her favourite toy. They are so good at sharing their toys though that it wouldn't matter if only one of them got a toy because they would both play with it together! <3

  11. My 6yo mostly stuck to the Monster High section, while my 2yo squealed and laughed at the Sofia The First toys. But in true sisterly style, they both wanted the same Frozen dolls: the Disney Frozen Royal Sisters Dolls. Of course, if I win one, I might need to go out and get a matching doll set, since in true sisterly style I am sure they would argue over it if there was only one!
