DISNEY Peter Pan {Giveaway CLOSED}

GIVEAWAY CLOSED - Winners: Christine M, Waverlee, The Patch Craft

I’ll let you in on a little secret. Up until this past weekend, I’d never watched Peter Pan. Yes, all of these years, I must have been living under a rock.

We were invited to a special Peter Pan screening in Sydney, but on the day, we just weren’t able to attend. So the lovely people at Disney PR sent through a Peter Pan review disc. Yay! The kids and I sat and watched it on Sunday afternoon. With the cooling weather and winter knocking at the door, a Sunday afternoon film is such a lovely luxury.

Peter Pan 2013 Double Play T19180 2D Packshot

Peter Pan is a timeless classic from Disney’s Gold Age of animation. Beginning in the London Nursery of Wendy, John and Michael Darling, the children are visited by Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up. With the help of his fairy friend Tinker Bell, Peter teaches them to fly and takes them to Never Never Land.

I did wonder if my children would like it. They’re so used to the modern Disney films (eg Wreck it Ralph and Tangled) that the classics sometimes bore them. I needn’t have worried.

They sat transfixed with a bowl of popcorn and really enjoyed the film. Sam later told me that it was the “best ever”, though in saying this, he usually makes this claim after every film he sees.

My little miss has spent the past few days at home with a cold. She has watched Peter Pan again and again. It’s surely a sign of a good film – right?

  1. Hi Anorina i like Peter Pans outfit as it is just the outfit for flying around in and fighting the bad guys, lol.xx

  2. I love the fairies outfit.....I would die for a figure like that lol.

Angus and I are looking to non kinder days to sit and watch movies in the winter months when its too cold to head outside to play, and have soe of his friends over

  3. A bit out of date on this but I like Ms Piggy!

  4. I love handmade clothes so Rapunzel's gorgeous purple dress she whipped up herself in Tangled is my favourite outfit!

  5. Just love Disney movie days at our Disney character outfit goes to ..Rosetta, Tinkerbells friend...especially her coat in 'The Secret of the Wings'...just love the red velvet coat and fluffy trim......

  6. I can't believe you'd never watched Peter Pan! When my eldest Mitchell was about 3 (I think) he watched Peter Pan every day for a bout 2 weeks. It could have even been longer! He loved it. I love Wendy's nightie. It is so lady-like!

  7. Donald Duck has the best outfit hands down.

He wears the cutest little sailor hat and shirt ever - no pants. However, when he steps out of the shower he wraps a towel around his lower half.

I think that Freud would have a field day.

I on the other hand think how beautifully innocent this is.

  8. I love Buzz Lightyear's outfit, it's awesome. I don't think there is a kid alive that wouldn't love an outfit that let them fly (or if you've seen the movie, "fall with style"), I also love all the little gadgets and lasers as well!!!

  9. I love Jasmine's outfit in Aladdin and Esmeralda from Hunchback but my favourite is Mulan especially when she is dressed as a man. She is so elegant and lovely in all her costumes.
I LOVE Peter Pan and so do my children. They always look for the second star to the right at night.

  10. Hard to choose just one - I love the princesses, Cinderella in blue, Sleeping Beauty in Pink and I love the shape and style of Belle's Golden gown but not sure I could carry off the Yellow colouring. I think Mini Mouse is the sweetest favourite of them all though. I had a mini costume when I was about 16 or 17... it was pale pink silk and I wore it with black velvet ears and silk boxer shorts and black stockings and it was fabulous... those were the days :)

  11. Ariel! I love those shell bikini tops :)

  12. I know it's from the 1950s (but hey, so am I)...I love Cinderella's ball gown.

  13. I love Belle's beautiful yellow gown and I also love Rapunzels purple dress (although it is a bit too small for her) Thank you for the giveaway!

  14. Minnie Mouse of course!
She wears high heels, and a polka dot dress with matching hair bow! So adorable!!

  15. Love to have a figure like Tinkerbell and fit into her dress :-)

saekae at bigpond dot dot au

  16. Jafar from Aladdin. It's so extravagant and intimidating yet at the same time classy and sophisticated. I assume you need the ridiculous beard to pull it off though.

  17. I love snow whites dress. My wedding dress is called snow white and is from a Disney collection of princess dresses. On my big day I will be a princess.
