Fresh Ideas with GLAD {Giveaway CLOSED}

GIVEAWAY CLOSED -  Winner: Carol L
This post is Sponsored by GLAD
The humble sandwich – it is something which I have made on a daily basis, for years. It is the “star” of a packed school lunch.
Last month, we attended an event hosted by GLAD – a Sandwich MasterClass.
The kids and I had a fun time creating sandwich works of art. Not the regular old cheese or vegemite sandwiches – but cute and imaginative lunch box additions which inspired and captured their imaginations.
The bread and fillings were laid out before us and recipe cards showed step by step instructions on how to make these swish, gourmet delights.
Amelia liked the idea of making the Firecracker Pinwheels. Really, I think it was the fact that she was standing right near a bowl of 100’s and 1000’s and was eager to dig into the rainbow.

Sam decided that he liked the Funny Face Sandwich – though he did get a little bit carried away with his sandwich. It started as the funny face as per the instructions, but then he added a moustache and a beard and all of a sudden, he was making a “grandad” sandwich.

With thanks to GLAD Australia, I have a fantastic prize to giveaway to a lucky Samelia’s Mum reader.
The GLAD snap-lock bags are obviously perfect for storing sandwiches for transportation to work or school. They’re air tight and sandwiches retain their freshness.
But, the GLAD snap-lock bags are also excellent for storing other items.
I like to use the GLAD Sandwich Size Snap Lock bags to store all of the bits required to make EPP hexagons, while I’m on the go.

The small snack size snap lock bags are also perfect for transporting items in the children’s school bags. Now that she’s in kindergarten, Amelia needs ear buds to use when it’s her turn on the computer, in the library. The snack size snap lock bags are perfect for small items, like ear buds.

I asked on the Samelia’s Mum Facebook Page and we discovered that quilters are an un-tapped market for GLAD. If they made snap-lock bags large enough to store quilt tops, we’d all be in happy quilty heaven.

GLAD are giving away a fantastic pack to a lucky Samelia’s Mum reader.

  1. I LOVE Glad ziplock bags. It's only fairly recently that I've started using them. Our primary school canteen uses them to store chicken nuggets, hamburger patties, chicken patties, etc once the bulk packet is open. I use them in my freezer at home - when I open a packet of frozen vegies what I don't use goes into one of these!

  2. Have you considered putting your Australian product giveaways on a separate blog from your quilting/sewing/family fun stuff?

  3. I use snap lock bags for small scrapbook cutouts, and keeping together unfinished pages!
