Winners are: Melanie & Aimee
I have to admit, I never saw the appeal of Zac Efron. It could be because I’m almost old enough to be his mother. I did say almost.
Or maybe it was his hair. I hate that messy hair style which boys wear. It requires a lot of effort to maintain that look – the “just got out of bed” look. As he’s matured, so has his hair style. Just Google Mr Efron and you’ll see what I mean.
Enough about hair…
About a year ago, I went on a bit of a book buying spree. Book Depository had discount codes and I went a little crazy. I ended up purchasing (among other things) a heap of Nicholas Sparks novels. I didn’t know too much about Nicholas Sparks, other than the fact that he wrote “The Notebook”.
Nicholas Sparks writes lovely, romantic, mushy books which I adore. I read “The Lucky One” and absolutely loved it.
The Lucky One (the film) is true to the book (though obviously, like most films, not as detailed). It is a good one to have your girlfriends around for a chick flick night, with a bottle of wine and chocolate ice cream.
Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling star in this powerful romantic journey. After three tours of duty in Iraq, U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault goes in search of the unknown woman whose photo he believes was his good-luck charm during the war.
The Lucky One is stirring, heart felt and deeply moving… and watching the more mature Zac Efron star in this role, isn’t bad either.
The Lucky One is available to purchase on DVD or Blu Ray and is rated M.
Thanks to Roadshow, I have two (2) copies of The Lucky One on DVD, to giveaway.
