The Gruffalo’s Child {Giveaway} *CLOSED*

Winners are: Vozilda and Danielle R

The Gruffalo’s Child is a half hour animated film based on the best-selling children s picture book by author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler.
The Gruffalos Child

One wild and windy night, the Gruffalo’s child ignores her fathers warnings and bravely tiptoes out into the snow in search of the Big Bad Mouse.

She meets Snake, Owl and Fox but no sign of the fabled Mouse. He doesn’t really exist, or does he?

As in "The Gruffalo" the story is told through the squirrel to her babies who see some footprints they think are belong to a gruffalo, but which are too small.

A companion film to the hugely successful The Gruffalo. With the voices of Helena Bonham Carter, Rob Brydon, Robbie Coltrane, James Corden, Shirley Henderson, John Hurt and Tom Wilkinson.

The Gruffalo’s Child, is now available on DVD, exclusively at ABC Centre shops and will be available at all major retailers on 21 June 2012.

If I created a character, it would probably be soft, gentle and attractive.

  8. My character would be elderly, plump and sweet,
Always prepared with something yummy for guests to eat,
A ready smile and kindly eyes,
A wonderful listener and very wise.
Her skin lined with years of laughter and time,
And by every hill she has had to climb,
But kindness and patience have seen her through,
And they show in the warmth of her cuddles, too.
She wears a dress in a floral pattern,
Not for her, the expense of satin,
An apron around her ample waste,
As she proffers cookies forward to taste...
The model for this kindly old dear,
I think of often, although she's no longer here...
My lovely English Nanna, so wonderful and kind-
A character like her, is so hard to find...
