Beating Boredom!

Sponsored by Nuffnang

The Christmas and New Year rush is over. For now, Christmas toys and lazing around is keeping them entertained. Give it another few days and the kids will start using the “B” word. You know which “B” word I mean, don’t you? It’s one of those words which grate on a parents nerves. The “B” word to which I refer is BORED!

Well, if you’re in the Sydney area, or like me, just outside Sydney, why not spend the day at Kids in the Park at Sydney Olympic Park. Kids in the Park runs every school holiday at Sydney Olympic Park and is great value for money with over 50 different activities to keep kids entertained. Activities range from free to under $20.

We were invited to visit and play some golf. The kids were thrilled! They love any chance to get out and do something different.

Mini Golf - Kids in the Park

Finding the Golf Centre was super easy and best of all, there was heaps of parking.

We got to play some mini golf which is a fun activity for all ages and skill level.

Mini Golf 2 - Kids in the Park

Sam and Amelia had a wonderful time chasing around their brightly coloured golf balls and trying to beat each other.

Mini Golf 3 - Kids in the Park

Mini Golf 4 - Kids in the Park

There were bridges and very cute obstacles in their pursuit for victory.

Mini Golf 5 - Kids in the Park

We didn’t keep score – so both Sam and Amelia were pleased that they were both winners.

Mini Golf is open every day between 8am-10pm at the Golf Centre.

For the more serious golfers, there are lessons where kids can learn to swing, chip and play golf over four fun days. Lessons are structured to suit different age and skill levels from 3–12 years.

Visit the Golf Centre Website for more details.

Kids in the Park is on every school holidays at various venues around Sydney Olympic Park. Activities range from half-hour lessons and experiences to 3– and 4–day workshops and camps. So jump in and start planning your own school holiday fun. It’s the best-value holiday program in Sydney!
