Green is good {+ Giveaway}

I don’t normally give much thought to my cleaning products. I buy what I need, when I need it and if it’s on sale, well, it’s a bonus. Right?

In the cleaning department, CHUX has been a long term Aussie favourite. I had a look inside of my cleaning basket (which is kept in that dark gloomy spot under the laundry sink) and found that I too, steer towards CHUX products.
Cleaning Basket
CHUX, has now launched a new range of 100 per cent Biodegradable Superwipes, 100 per cent Biodegradable Absorbent Cloths, and Non-Scratch Scourer Sponges that are made from recyclable material and natural fibres; even the packaging uses soy-based inks.

I received a package of these new ‘green’ products to trial and I must say that I am converted.
Chux Goes Green
We’ve been using them over the last few weeks and are very impressed with the quality and effectiveness.

Even though they’re a more eco-friendly option, they perform just as well as the “not-so-eco-friendly” products out there in the market place, plus they’re great value. It’s a win-win situation.

Here is a little bit more about the new range of products:

CHUX® Biodegradable Superwipes®
Chux Biodegradable Superwipes
CHUX® Biodegradable Superwipes® are made from 100% natural and reneweable viscose cellulose fibres. Viscose cellulose, is a naturally super absorbent fibre, with one Superwipes® absorbing up to 10 times its own weight in liquid.

CHUX® Biodegradable Superwipes® are 100% biodegradable and naturally break down, in compostable conditions, reducing the impact on our natural environment. With double action holes CHUX® Biodegradable Superwipes® easily pick up dirt and food particles and allow for the cloth to be rinsed clean for use over and over again.
RRP $3.99 (10 in a pack)
CHUX® Biodegradable Absorbent Cloth
Chux Biodegradable Cloth
CHUX® Biodegradable Absorbent Cloth is a super absorbent and super strong, reusable cloth. Made from viscose cellulose and bamboo fibres, both fibres are 100% natural and renewable resources.

  1. Hi-5 to CHUX for finding a better alternative!! I don't like cleaning the toilet which is why my husband does it. I love him so much. I tend to just do the rest of the house with help of course. Great giveaway...

    Xo Steph

  2. Bathrooms in general and toilets in particular are nasty to clean.

For me the shower is the worst, because I'm just not tall enough to clean it all and generally end up missing bits which frustrates me no end.

  3. Cleaning the bathroom ... toilet, shower, basin, mirror, floor ... I hate it all !!

  4. I clicked on the Facebook link up at the top of your post.

  5. Bathrooms, but I find the shower the worst.

  6. Bathrooms for me too. So many bits to get to!

  7. Mmm bathrooms are yucky but so are my windows. Thanks for sharing:)

  8. Mmm bathrooms are yucky but so are my windows. Thanks for sharing:)

  9. I have trouble starting lots of chores - washing, mopping, vacuuming, windows, ironing. Funny thing is once I get going, I don't mind doing it.

  10. Now let me see. It would have to be the shower.

  11. I hate ironing. No...I REALLY hate ironing. That might be because my husband cleans the toilets and bathrooms though LOL! Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. Toilets and showers! I'm glad I only have one of each.

  13. Clkeaning the oven. The effective cleaners stink, and one must be a contortionist to clean the oven in my old fashioed upright stove.

  14. Worst job for me is to clean my WHITE horizontal blinds in my house.. there are only 3 toilets.. and those white blinds are on ALL of the 30 windows.. each little slat.. one at a time.........both takes FOREVER!!!

  15. I hate Bathrooms & Windows. I don't mind ironing.

  16. I too hate cleaning the toilet. Thanks so much for the chance to win these. They look absolutely amazing.

  17. The household chore I dread the most is the mopping! With three young kids, the floors are constantly sticky and stained. Some days I feel like the mop may as well be permanantly attached to me!

  18. I have shared on Facebook too (facebook name Michelle Vamvas)

  19. I hate cleaning the shower recess, have to get in and turn on the shower low, but then my glasses fog up, and I can't see what I'm doing, so I end up temporarily half blind and with a backache as well. :(

  20. I am in Canada so don't enter me, but I just wanted to say that I am so glad to see companies all over getting more environmentally aware! It gives me hope! Good Luck to your entrants!

  21. Hi, my pet hate in cleaning would have to be the windows. I have casement windows in an old qlder and every time i wash the windows it rains oh and also the toilets yuk yuk...boys please...

  22. Not too partial to cleaning the toilet either but my bugbear is wiping the fridge door clean umpteen times a day as DH and DD don't wash their hands after doing things outside and before they grab a drink from the fridge.

  23. WOW I love the idea of 'green' wipes. I do like to choose green products when I can.

I've always had an issue with doing the dishes. I think I'd rather clean the toilet than do the dishes!!

  24. This sounds like a good giveaway. I'm right there with you about cleaning the toilet, but I don't like cleaning the shower and tub either. :)

    Have a great week!

    God bless and keep you,

  25. I can't do toilets and the floor around it. I know that sounds horrid, but I have a boy who likes to hold his pee til the last possible second and there's no telling what his aim is like in those desperate moments...

  26. I actually love housework i love the cleanliness after i am a neat freak as know by friends but if i have a least favorite area it would be shower tiles small feature ones.

  27. Mopping the tiled floors because I have to do it when the little ones are in bed - and I have plenty of things I'd rather be doing when the little ones are in bed!

  28. bathrooms and toilets i hate cleaning also, lol.Thankyou for a chance to win this prize.

  29. Cleaning after my dog in the yard LOL

  30. Cleaning soap scum- hate it so much, particularly when I have let it build up. Thankfully spraying the shower screen each night with vinegar reduces the buildup (unfortunately it also makes me crave salt and vinegar chips!!)

  31. Absolutely - cleaning the toliet is the worst ever!

  32. I'll come over and clean your toilet if you will come here and clean the oven. I hate cleaning the oven!

  33. I don't mind cleaning the toilet that much actually - my most hated job is the shower, no matter what I use it never seems to get rid of all the water marks on the glass and I hate scrubbing off soap scum, grr! >:( Not to mention it's always me that has to do it. After that would probably be cleaning the fridge, microwave or oven.
