Disney Junior DVD Party + GIVEAWAYS

What do you get when you have a group of 3 to 6 year old's, lots of cupcakes, fairy bread, chips and lollies,  party favors and Disney DVD's to watch?

Fun, Fun and more FUN!

When the lovely people at Porter Novelli asked if we'd be interested in hosting a Disney Junior DVD party to celebrate the 6 July release of some new Disney Junior DVD titles - our response was YES PLEASE!

We are Disney nuts at our place and LOVE everything Disney. EVERYTHING!

We received copies of the following DVD titles to review:
Minnie's Bow-tique

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally

Handy Manny: Manny’s Big Race

Our little friends arrived and we played the DVDs and brought out the party food. Here are some happy snaps of our afternoon...

Some yumminess for the mums...

And some kid-sized yumminess... (I was too slow and so the plate wasn't looking as full as when it started)

Watching the movies on the couch...

A tea-party with Mater (from Cars movie)

Hello Mickey!!

What's a party without lots and lots of lollies?

Mmm.... nom... nom... nom...

And some super doopers for dessert...

A great afternoon was had by all. When asked about the films, I've been reliably informed that Handy Manny's Big Race was the favourite film of the afternoon. Handy Manny in a car race - how can you wrong, right?

With thanks to Disney Junior and Porter Novelli, I have a copy of these DVD's to giveaway.

If you'd like a chance to win, leave me a comment telling me:

  1. We are planning a Dr Who party for my little boy. What we are looking forward to seeing is his face when he looks around the room at all the Dr who things we have gathered. ( A full size cardboard cut out of a dalek)

  2. Fun, sweets, balloons, and silly string! Thanks for a son is watching Mickey Mouse right now. We love Disney too!

  3. My daughter is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at the moment!
A good kids party around here always includes a pinata. :)

  4. That little parcel of goodies that goes home with the visiting child. My kids always loved that. I am desperately trying to win something for my Grand children. Heres hoping.

  5. Oh wow! I was wondering when the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse dvd was coming out -- and now there are two new ones?!! We have every single one ... so will have to add these to the mix too, lol. (I think I love them just as much as DD!)
A good kids' party - definitely imagination and laughter!

  6. It's been a long time since we hosted DD's parties but I think they worked because we had a theme (clowns, pool, fifties, etc), WM was in charge of the games and I was in charge of the food. We kept it to two hours and had only eight to ten guests.

DD has all this to look forward to now that she has two little boys!

  7. Colour...lots of it...table cloths, posters, balloons provides dollops of colour and streamers. Action and entertainment...some planned activity such as games and music or a visual treat usually hosted by an MC and coralled by helpers. Yummy food...anything from savory to sweet-as-possible, and of course the thoughtfully constructed treat to take home. Having a theme helps to provide the springboard for planning the event but most of all, lots of eager children ready to socialise and have fun and enjoy spending time together. I think that your Dvd party had all the elements for a tremendously fun time. grace at amnet dot net dot au

  8. Lots of friends and some party music makes for a great party!

  9. Last Sunday my Granddaughter celebrated her 6th Birthday with a Strawberry Shortcake themed Party....we set up several activity tables, play doh, Strawberry Shortcake colouring in pages, beads where they made bracelets and necklaces to take home...the greatest hit of all was the cupcake decorating table, I made vanilla cupcakes and provided bowls of icing so they could ice and decorate their own cupcakes - keeping with the Strawberry Shortcake theme I made fondant strawberries, little white strawberry flowers and also provided pink was such a joy to see the little girls having so much fun being creative.

  10. I think the best thing to do is something they want to do...picnics in the park are very popular because there are great playgrounds and no mess at home!

  11. I think Fairy Bread is essential to a great kids party

  12. When mine were little I used to let them come up with ideas and help make decisions about the party...then I would just use the ones I approved of!! They thought they had chosen everything ;) Always had to have lolly bags too!

  13. balloons, bubbles and birthday cake kids often love the simpler things.

  14. Some thing sweet, noisy and colourful but most importantly fun!

  15. I think your party had all the right ingredients: children, fingerfood, colour and entertainment, stir gingerly and place in a warm protected enviroment to relax and just watch the fun unfold. weftandwarp at hotmail dot com

  16. We had a party at a local gym recently. Kids had a ball and no mess to clean up at the end. I think parties with lots of activities and games are great.

  17. We tend to do laid back parties around here! Good friends, family and lots of love and laughter go a long way. Kate Edney.
