Alice in Wonderland 60th Anniversary Edition - Review & Giveaway

Can you believe that Alice in Wonderland is 60? I know, right?

Join Alice as she chases the White Rabbit and journeys into a topsy-turvy world that gets "curiouser and curiouser" as her fantastical adventures unfold. Meet the Mad Hatter, March Hare, Tweedledee & Tweedledum, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts and more unforgettable characters, all set against a backdrop of awe-inspiring splendour. (DisneyDVD)

Thanks to Disney and Porter Novelli, I have been lucky enough to review this film with my children. I had wondered if my kids would like this film as it's very different to what they're used to seeing.

I needn't have worried. They really loved it and have since watched it again, and again. Even my 5 year old son, who is a Ben 10 fan, loves Alice.

Alice in Wonderland is a story filled with imagination and wonder. It is truly a classic and I'm so pleased that my children have had the opportunity to discover these colourful characters, which I remember from my childhood.

Take a trip down the rabbit hole and revisit Alice. You will fall in love with Wonderland all over again. Alice in Wonderland is out on DVD on 12 June 2011.

Would you like to win an Alice in Wonderland Blu-ray + DVD Value Pack valued at RRP $49.95?

  1. Ooo I'm the first - I really should pick the White Rabbit then!

But no, I think it was the Cheshire Cat - always smiling despite the madness around it!

  2. Well I guess I really should say the Queen of Hearts since I put so much effort into trying to look like her ;)

  3. Oh I am SO glad Disney decided to release this movie now! My (almost -16th June!- 3yo) daughter and I have read the Disney hard-back version a good number of times over the last couple of months (at her request!) and she is absolutely Loving it! => Her other favourite in this 'series' is the Disney Beauty and the Beast and regularly requests to either read the book or watch the movie, so I am hoping she'll love Alice just as much!!

I have to say that Alice was my favourite - oh, to have such an imagination and 'meet' all those fabulously crazy individuals!!
Otherwise, I have to go with the Cheshire Cat too - I just Love my cats!!

  11. Seems most people like my favourite character too. I'm a big fan of the Cheshire cat as I'm actually from Cheshire in England so he's a bit of home.

  17. The Mad Hatter - I have such wonderful memories of my late Father acting the fool....if he had an appointment he would get ready and walk through the house chanting "I'm late, I'm late - for a very important date"...yes, definitely the Mad Hatter for me.

  19. My autistic daughter relates to cartoons and animation more than to real people, so this would be a way she could share in and enjoy the delights of Alice otherwise inaccessible to her - and she has twin sisters so for her Tweedledee and Tweedledum would be specially significant
