Gnomeo & Juliet - DVD Giveaway

Garden gnomes, Gnomeo & Juliet, have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbours. But with plastic pink flamingos and lawnmower races in the mix, can this young couple find lasting happiness? (Walt Disney Pictures)

The film is a ceramic retelling of a certain Shakespearean tragedy, set in the adjoining gardens of two semi-detached houses - not in fair Verona, rather in Stratford-Upon-Avon, in the English Midlands.

The soundtrack is BRILLIANT with classic and new music by Sir Elton John. You will be rocking and bopping, to the Crocodile Rock before you know it.

The story has plenty of witty humour, which the little ones won't really understand, but the adults will have a chuckle.

Here is the link to the official trailer:

  1. I have one little gnome who is sitting on a turtle, I think he goes for rides around our property looking for other turtles to race!

  2. We don't have garden gnomes - or even much of a (non-vegie) garden, but it's on my to-do list!

  3. We don't have garden gnomes - unless you count my kids out there sometimes!

Their latest game was to collect every snail they could find and put them all on the table. Then they couldn't understand where they had all gone the next morning!

  4. I had one garden gnome in my other house. I had to leave him there as he is guarding my secrets that I burnt and sent to the universe. lol

  8. I love this movie, such romance, such a fine leading man! I don't have any garden gnomes but did inherit a concrete blue tongue lizard from my mum. I'm sure he hisses at me when I get deep in the foliage so I jump & think 'SNAKE'. I can see mum laughing too. Tracee xx

  14. I don't have a garden gnome, but I do have a garden statue...of a guy bending over, dropping his pants as if to tell visitors they need to kiss his you know what.....my parcel delivery man, Barry, loves it and says even when he's not stopping to drop off a parcel, he slows the van down so he can have a look at the statue as it always makes him smile! 17. I have one gnome (I love him) and his name is Erazmus. He doesn't seem to do much, but then he may get up to anything at night time.

  18. I only have one, a banjo playing frog. I suspect he is the one tapping on the window to scare me, or it could be geckos. I think we all know which is more likely, after all, a frog that plays the banjo is probably quite unbalanced.

  19. I don't have any. I remember my Mum having a huge gnome when I was growing up...someone took it one night and left a ransom note in its place! It was returned unharmed a few days later.

  22. We had a Ned Kelly Gnome and a Collingwood Football Gnome... I don't even want to contemplate the mischief those two get up to when I'm not watching. Probably explains why none of my veggies survived though.

  23. They steal the tulips and fill them with moonshine, the naughty buggers!

  24. We currently don't have any Gnomes...but I took my son to see the movie when it came out ..and he loved it. I think I might have to get one for him to play with. I think our gnome would love to play chase with the dog and hide in the stawberry patch!

  27. This movie is ADORABLE. I loved it way more than my tween/teens. Isn't that ashame? So I'm entering to win this for me,not them. :)

I have one garden gnome. I rescued him from a trash bin. really. He is laying down, sleeping. I have it in my mind that he is out and about tormenting my indoor kitties. They are always looking out the window and I know it is him teasing them.

  28. No gnomes here. We have a little girl pushing a wheelbarrow that is sometimes filled with shells we picked up from the beach. I say sometimes because Annie thinks it's much more fun to scatter them throughout the garden! :)

  29. No Gnomes here, but I did see some cute ones at bunnings. I think the kids want to save up their pocket money.

  32. I knew something was missing from our garden..and there is a bird bath which could double as a gnome bath if they dont mind lining up with the other bathers. (Birds on every available branch in the garden most afternoons, they take their turn and it's a delight to watch 'em splash and enjoy themselves)

  33. I don't have a gnome but think one is getting under the fence from somewhere and spreading fertilizer on my lawn so it will grow 10 times faster than I can get to it with the mower. Grrr

  34. I don't have gnomes but I've been told my cats sometimes dig under the fence and "fertilise" the neighbour's garden. Thankfully they're fine with that.
