Primitive Swap Revealed

I participated in my first ever swap with my craft forum over the past couple of months.
The theme was primitive.

I don't know much about primitive and had never tried it before, so after tea-dying my fabric I made a stitchery for my partner.

I'm not sure it's really "primitive" but I'm pleased with the result.

Here is the hanging I received from my partner.

I have it hanging in my sewing room :-) Thanks I.J.
