Bloggers Quilt Festival - Fall 2010

I'm participating in the Bloggers Quilt Festival once again. It is being hosted by Amy from Amy's Creative Side. After having a look at my quilt, pop on over to Amy's blog and have a look at the other fabulous blogs of the quilters also participating :-)

The quilt I'm showing isn't new. It's actually a very loved quilt. It's the first "modern" quilt I made following a tutorial I came across on the wonderful blog, Oh, Fransson!

It's a quilt I made for my daughter in lot's of different pinks (which she helped choose). It's quilted in straight diagonal lines. I spaced them apart with pieces of masking tape. This was before I discovered and fell in love with FMQing.

I love this quilt because it's been washed time and time again and has stayed lovely and soft. It is dragged around the house under her arm and used every day during nap time. She's very pleased with it, and therefore, so am I.

  3. Oh this quilt is sooooo beautiful, as is she and the two together are wonderful - that is what quilts are for - dragged around by kids, doll picnics, cat sledges. I love your post and now need to add you onto my blog bloglist because you've been one of my fave quilters around for a long time.
